Desert Voices Toastmasters

Desert Voices, Toastmasters Club #441

Who

photo We at Desert Voices promote our development of public speaking and leadership skills through an educational forum. We provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment that cultivates success in all our members. You will discover at Desert Voices the best place to learn, to build your confidence, and to push yourself outside your comfort zone.

What

Toastmasters is the most efficient, enjoyable and affordable way of gaining communication and leadership skills.

Become a Better Speaker

Toastmasters will give you the skills and confidence you need to effectively express yourself in any situation.

Become a Leader

Leadership is the art of persuading others to do what you wish. To succeed, you need to communicate, and you need to work as a team. In Toastmasters, you’ll do both. And you’ll find out how to vary your approach to suit the needs of different people, be they the audience for a speech, the committee for a fundraiser or your coworkers and managers.

Why

Experienced professionals and beginning speakers alike benefit from Toastmaster's practical, face-to-face learning program. You'll learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people who are there for the same reason you are—to become better communicators.

How

At Desert Voices, members learn through active participation and working with others in a supportive environment. Each meeting provides an opportunity for members to facilitate the meeting, give impromptu speeches, present prepared speeches, and offer constructive evaluations. Our meetings spotlight the art of listening effectively, thinking critically, managing time, motivating listeners, mentoring members and build a team while enjoying the camaraderie within the club.
