Desert Voices Toastmasters

Desert Voices Toastmasters Club #441

Who We Are

/themes/ti/ti_photo.jpgWe of the Desert Voices Toastmasters club are a group of people joined together with the common goal of developing our public speaking and leadership skills through an educational forum. We provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment that cultivates success in all our members. You will discover at Desert Voices the best place to learn, to build your confidence, and to push yourself outside your comfort zone.

What Makes Us Different

Though all Toastmasters clubs share the goal of improving speaking and leadership skills, Desert Voices has many qualities that set it apart from other clubs:

Weekly Meetings
Many clubs meet every other week. Ours meets every week (except holidays), which means more opportunities to speak, and more rapid advancement.
Evening Meetings
Many clubs meet in the morning or early afternoon, which can be inconvenient to 9-5 types. Our club meets in the evening, after our members have had a chance to unwind and eat dinner after work.
Eclectic Members
Many clubs specialize in members such as doctors or engineers or such. Desert Voices has no such prerequisites for membership, and our members come from all different backgrounds and walks of life.
Leadership Potential
Because our club meets weekly, our officers serve six-month terms instead of the year-long terms at most clubs. This gives our members double the opportunity to become club officers and leaders.
Low Cost
Many clubs have elaborate meeting spaces or trappings which drive up their dues. Our club focuses on the basics of speaking and leadership, and that focus is reflected in our low dues.

Come On Down!

The best way to find out if Desert Voices is right for you is to pay us a visit. You are welcome to attend our meetings as a guest as often as you like. Our regular meeting place is here:

Bookmans Entertainment Exchange

8034 N. 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ, 85021

Bookmans is in the plaza on the northwest corner of 19th Avenue and Northern, with plenty of convenient parking in front and easy access to the bus lines.

Meetings are every second and later Monday from 7:30 - 9:00 PM (except holidays).

On the first Monday of every month, we meet in an alternate location, currently Hob Nobs Coffee House at 149 West McDowell Road in Phoenix.

For More Information
